Formed in 1949, the aim of the Ruislip and District Natural History
Society is to foster an interest in all aspects of natural history
from the local area and beyond. It is one of the oldest natural
history societies in the country and has a steady membership of
about one hundred. Many of our members are experts in their field
and the society provides a great opportunity to meet people with
similar interests, sharing knowledge, experiences and an enjoyment
of the subject. New members are always welcomed, regardless of age
or knowledge. All you need is an interest in natural history. If you
are interested in joining the RDNHS please
contact us or just come
along to one of our meetings or events.
The Ruislip and District Natural History Society is closely
associated with Ruislip Nature Reserve. The reserve is situated at
the north end of Ruislip Lido and is run by the 'Friends of Ruislip
Nature Reserve'. Details can be obtained from the warden, Mark
Morgan at m.e.morgan@talk21.com. |
